George Woodbury has been using MyMathLab since its inception, and he continually comes up with creative ways to integrate his teaching methods with technology. Though an avid user of technology, George never loses sight of the big picture, and keeps the focus on learning. His main goal with the Fourth Edition of Elementary and Intermediate Algebra was to take advantage of technology to foster active learning, so students can watch and participate in the mathematics, which leads to greater conceptual understanding. He keeps the focus on learning by integrating his three-step Cycles of Learning teaching philosophy—Discover, Engage, Reflect—into an innovative eBook experience built directly within MyMathLab.
Built in MyMathLab with the Cycles of Learning
This new fourth edition was redesigned, and built directly in MyMathLab to maximize the digital learning environment. It incorporates George’s Cycles of Learning teaching philosophy both on a macro and micro level. Students and instructors will find the Cycles of Learning integrated throughout, which is George’s way of using the best of technology to foster active learning and a greater conceptual understanding.
