Presents interpretive views of photomicrographic illustrations to help readers understand developmental events in four-dimensions (i.e., the three dimensions of space plus the dimension of time). Contains orientation drawings for transverse sections. Enables readers to quickly identify similar structures in their own specimens by side-by-side reference to the atlas.
