The story is told completely in dialogue balloons, and is illustrated with the lovable cartoon-like characters of Max (a dog) and his animal friends. It is especially appropriate for the very young who need to understand the use of please and thank you. Max is particularly expressive as he becomes more and more frustrated that none of his wishes are grantedbecause he doesn't know the magic word.
