From Booklist

Maddon Park in Oxfordshire, England, represents a new start for 45-year-old Lotte Warren and her three children. Her husband has left her, and Lotte has left architecture to literally go back to her roots and become a head gardener. Maddon Park is the estate of dot-com entrepreneur Brody Keegan and his supermodel wife, Jade. Lotte intends to create a traditional garden in keeping with the estate's history, but Brody wants more flash. Tenacious Lotte slowly converts Brody to her plans over the objections of his wife, who wants nothing to do with the gardener, or her children, and acts like a spoiled child herself. As tensions develop, Lotte conducts her research and restores the gardens, vividly described, to their former beauty, although she may not get to enjoy the fruits of her labor as Brody's dot-com crashes.
