Review:

"...goes far beyond spelling out some of the most pressing issues in health care today. It highlights the multiplicity of ways cultural, racial, ethnic, and other factors can intersect to form barriers to accurate diagnosis, treatment delivery, and the scientific study of mood disorders as they appear in the diverse communities in the United States...I strongly recommended [this book] to academics and practitioners without reservation. The book will add to the training and learning of practitioners of all levels and in all areas of psychology, psychiatry, social work, and other fields of study that directly affect health care delivery services."--PsycCritiques

"There is much here that will be of interest to clinicians and researchers dealing with Black and minority ethnic patients with mood disorders."--The British Journal of Psychology
