Synopsis
The Old English translations of the Latin Gospels are considered to be one of the major literary and cultural achievements of the late Anglo-Saxon period. This, the final volume in the series, is a companion to The Old English Version of the Gospels. It contains an account of the original Latin text from which the Old English translation derives as well as an index of the biblical passages described and a glossary.
