About the Author

Pippa Goodhart has worked in bookshops and as a teacher, until she had her children, which is when she began writing. Her first novel was published in 1994, and many more books have followed. Pippa visits schools and libraries all over the country, talking to children about her books and how she writes them. Yannick Robert has been illustrating since 1999. He studied and lives in the south of France and has worked with a variety of clients producing events posters for local councils, illustrating children's magazines and books and, more recently, creating illustrations for advertising campaigns. Nikki Gamble is the founder and Director of Write Away and Just Imagine Story Centre. Nikki has worked in education and reading promotion for over 25 years, Formerly a teacher (secondary and primary) and teacher educator, she is lecturer, writer and education consultant. Nikki is also on the current Executive Committee of United Kingdom Literacy Association (UKLA).
