Synopsis
There are 6 books at Stage 3: * Book 13 practises 'ai ee igh' * Book 14 practises 'oa oo oo' * Book 15 practises 'ar or ur' * Book 16 practises 'ow oi ear' * Book 17 practises 'air er er' * Book 18 practises 'ue ue ure' Each sound is explored through an Oxford Reading Tree scene, first the children should say the sound and trace the letters in the panel, before looking at the key word and picture and saying the sound, there is a list of decodable words for them to read and then they can try to find all words they can that include the focus sound within the picture, some are labelled some are not! About the Author
Specialising as an independent synthetic phonics teacher and trainer, Debbie is an experienced primary school teacher and ex-Headteacher. She is an advisor for the UK Reading Reform Foundation and has been key to the development of the UK Government's promotion of synthetic phonics teaching. Author and illustrator team, Roderick Hunt and Alex Brychta, are two of the most experienced and successful reading scheme creators in the world. In 2008, Roderick Hunt received an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for services to education, particularly literacy. This was followed by further success when Roderick and Alex won the prestigious Outstanding Achievement Award at the Education Resources Awards 2009.
