Robert Schleif is a professor in the department of biology at the Johns Hopkins University and the co-author of Practical Methods in Molecular Biology. He has been the recipient of a Helen Hay Whitney Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Harvard University and an NIH Career Development Award. His current research utilizes genetics, physiology, and recombinant DNA technology to study the mechanism of regulation of the E. coli L-arabinose operon.
