Che Guevara's first wife, Hilda Gadea, paints a personal portrait of the political icon, romantic wanderer, philosopher, doting suitor, and father. Ernesto Guevara and Hilda Gadea met in Guatemala as members of the political-exile community. Including "touching sections that demonstrate Gadea's insecurities and infatuation with Guevara, detailing their lover's quarrels and her jealousies as their relationship grows," (The Associated Press) My Life With Che offers an intimate look at the influential leader, providing a vital key to the comprehension of Che's legendary qualities.

Second volume: The Diary of Che Guevara: Bolivia, November 7, 1966 - October 7, 1967, the Ramparts Edition, pub. by Bantam 1968. Edited by Robert Scheer, Introduction by Fidel Castro. Fifth printing thus. Apparently ex-library, but the only evidence is two "Discarded" ink stamps, one to the top edge of the text block and another, very faint, to the front wrap. No other marks or trappings of a library. Previous owner's last name inked to top edge of Publisher's Note page. Some edgewear and rubbing, significant though not major, with a reading crease to the spine and another to the front wrap adjacent to the spine. Binding remains sound, and pages are clear and clean with minor toning. Here and there are a few scattered ink marks, underlining or circling a word, or to the margin alongside a paragraph -- not many, and they seem to be confined to the section in Spanish. B/W photos and reproductions of Guevara's handwritten journal pages. A set of two. Seller Inventory # 6340
