9780232526240: Opening Up: Speaking Out in the Church

There is a perpetual tension in Catholicism between its grandeur and power and its mission to serve the poor and broken-hearted, to bring God's love to the forgotten people of the world. Opening Up addresses some of the issues and paradoxes within Catholicism. 'We are Church', writes John Allan Loftus 'Tegether. We are multi-hued, we are female as well as male, we are gay and straight, we are all sinners and all would-be saints. And we must learn again to listen to each other.'
