Horrifying, but constructive and, according to the publishe's blurb, will leave the reader 'with a vastly extended understanding of revolutionary China.' The dust jacket is intact but is chipped in places with a couple of very small closed tears (< 15 mm). Not visible externally, there is some staining from the book's red cloth boards onto the dj's inside; down the spine and rear cover (image). This has also left a slightly paler patch of red on the back board (image). The spine features bold gilt (gold) titles at the head and foot. Binding tight. Internally,hints of tanning at the page perimeters (especially near the top edge. pp. 319/8vo.
