Dass der Verfasser die unmittelbar versprochene Fortsetzung, enthaltend „die angewandte Mathematik nicht gebracht hat, ist, wenn auch nicht weiter zu bedauern, so doch hie und da wunscbenswerth gewesen. Das die mehrere Zweige der Mathematik gleichzeitig umfassenden Werke nicht ent sprechend vertbeilt sind, oder zu Nachweisen veranlasst haben, ist wie die keinenfalls erstrebte möglichste Vollständigkeit ein entschiedener Nachtheil. Im Uebrigen wäre gegen Systematik etc. Nichts weiter einzuwenden. Dass er etwas mehr Anzeigen, als die vorher herausgegebenen und von ihm benützten „mathe matischen Bibliotheken von Beughem, Müller und Murbard gebracht, stimmt allerdings mit seiner Angabe überein.
