About the Author

MARION CARSON worked for many years as a psychiatric nurse (Registered Mental Nurse) in the hospital and community setting in Glasgow. She was responsible for setting up and managing a hostel for patients discharged from long term psychiatric care run by the Church of Scotland's Board of Social Responsibility. After gaining a PhD in New Testament Studies from the University of Glasgow she took up the post of lecturer in New Testament Pastoral Care at the International Christian College, Glasgow and she regularly teaches on mental health.
