About the Author:

William V. Tamborlane, M.D., is professor and chief of pediatric endocrinology at the Yale University School of Medicine and director of the School of Medicine's Children's Clinical Research Center, located in Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut.
