She has served as "first lady" to husband Norvel Young, past President and Chancellor of Pepperdine University. She is the mother of four and grandmother often.

Billie Silvey is the working mother of two. She is the author of the very popular God Has... series for Bible classes. Until recently, she served as the associate editor of 21st Century Christian magazine. She, too, teaches Bible classes.
