These two books offer more than enough brownie recipes to satisfy even the most addicted dessert lover. Gates and Binney include all sorts of bar cookies among their 100 recipes, from traditional and gourmet brownies to holiday and special occasion confections. The Zismans' recipes, chosen from those submitted in a nationwide contest, include a few specialty items like Brownie Pizza, but otherwise are limited to brownie variations. Most libraries need only one of these--Gates and Binney's more inclusive collection.
