About the Author
Martha C. Lawrence, who grew up in Rancho Santa Fe, California, near the site that would eventually house the Heaven's Gate cult, now lives in Escondido. Lawrence has worked as a book editor, a professional astrologer, and a business writer. Inspired by her own psychic experiences, she began her astrological mystery series featuring Elizabeth Chase, a licensed P.I. and parapsychologist. Her Murder in Scorpio was nominated for the Edgar, Agatha, and Anthony awards for best first novel of 1996, and was followed soon after by the critically acclaimed sequel The Cold Heart of Capricorn.
