About the Author:

Brenda Jackson lives in the city where she was born, Jacksonville, Florida. She is a graduate of William M. Raines High School, and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Jacksonville University. She has been married for twenty-nine years to her high school sweetheart, and they have two sons, ages twenty-three and twenty-one. Presently, she works in management for a major insurance company. She is a member of the First Coast Chapter of Romance Writers of America, and is a founding member of the national chapter of Women Writers of Color.

Her titles consistently make the bestsellers list and receive top ratings. She has been recognized in Heart and Soul Magazine, Essence, McCalls, and Publishers Weekly. Her books have been selected for Doubleday's Black Expressions Book Club.

She was awarded Romantic Times Best Multicultural Romance of the Year in 1998, and in 1999, was selected as Author of the Year by Romance In Color. In 2000, she received the Waldenbooks Bestselling Multicultural Romance of the Year award.
