Essentials of Paralegalism introduces the beginning paralegal student to this still relatively new legal career. It presents the main regulatory and employment issues in the field, as well as strategies for finding a job. The author also gives students the basic skills they will need to succeed in the field including interviewing, investigation and analysis at an introductory level. Concrete examples from the working lives of on-the-job paralegals help the students get a feel for what they can expect in the work setting.

William Statsky is a member of both the ethics committee and the advisory council for the National Federation of Paralegal Associations, as well as an instructor of online courses at Thomas Edison State College in Trenton, New Jersey. He is the author of numerous groundbreaking legal textbooks for paralegals and was a member of the transition team for then President-Elect Ronald Reagan. Mr. Statsky holds a master of law degree (LL.M) in urban affairs, as well as a juris doctorate degree (J.D.).
I like the way the author has broken down material into comprehensive blocks and steps. I also like the outline format and bullets and the way the material is presented. I would not change a thing.
