The story of Tibetan resistance to Chinese rule, with a focus on the Khamba tribe of Southeast Tibet. The author made several expeditions to the area and personally met many of the guerilla fighters that he writes about. 258 pages, with Index, Bibliography, and three sections of b&w photos, 5-3/4" X 8-1/2". The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Jacket has some rubbing wear, a 1/2" wear mark on the right edge of the front panel, some edge wear at the heel of the spine panel, some sun fading to the title on the spine. Hardcover boards are flat, the corners are slightly worn. Top edge of the text block has some age foxing dots. Former owner's circular impression mark on the title page, about 1-1/2" across.
