Vertically challenged Lauren Laurano has a hard time convincing people that she really is a private investigator. As if that's not bad enough, her lover is constantly on her case about her dangerous vocation and her cholesterol level. This mystery series has some of the cleverest observations of life in Greenwich Village ever set to paper. If you've never read these, all I can say is I envy you -- you're in for a treat from this witty, talented author.
