Take your students well beyond simple data entry with this latest computerized accounting solution from proven author Glenn Owen. USING PEACHTREE COMPLETE 2008 FOR ACCOUNTING, Second Edition, introduces your students to the leading Peachtree software while emphasizing the underlying accounting concepts behind the system. While other books limit their focus to how to enter data, this book underscores the importance of and need for effective accounting systems in business today. Students gain an understanding of WHY systems work, as well as HOW to practice fundamental accounting concepts as they use Peachtree and analyze business events. The book combines an inviting narrative style with a self-paced format that requires minimal instructor direction. A step-by-step approach and abundance of screen captures reinforce a strong conceptual understanding of accounting without sacrificing practical applications. A continuing case, interactive learning features, and an emphasis on service and merchandising businesses further demonstrate how accounting concepts apply in today's actual computerized business systems. An academic version of Peachtree accompanies each new text, which makes this book ideal as a companion for your core text in the first accounting course or for use any time after your students gain a basic accounting background. Go beyond data entry with your students as they master the Peachtree skills and conceptual understanding found in Owen's USING PEACHTREE COMPLETE 2008 FOR ACCOUNTING, Second Edition.
