Originally graced with the brilliance of Enid Blyton in the brightly-lit bastion of 1982, this tome captures the essence of adventure?perhaps less like the heart-pounding escapades of Indiana Jones, and more akin to a Sunday afternoon stroll in the local park, complete with slight inconveniences and the occasional wayward pigeon. If the idea of a group of plucky children embarking on a moderately perilous escapade sounds thrilling to you, then strap in! Or, perhaps, just keep your seatbelt unbuckled, as this journey is more akin to a leisurely float down the river, with delightful interruptions by the occasional duck. Initially published by Piccolo Books?a name that sounds suspiciously like a trendy café where one could sip herbal tea and discuss the existential quandaries of life?this particular edition has been lovingly handled by the hands of time.
