Psychology and People: A Tutorial Text concentrates on the application of psychology to the present experiences and future lives of students. It is an introductory text with an emphasis on human problems, for students studying psychology as a main or subsidiary subject.
The five sections of the book, using specially commissioned chapters from established authorities, treat the life-span from biological underpinnings to ageing, motivation and intellect, social influences including interviewing and mass communications, and finally special problems and their treatments including psychopathology. Each chapter is followed by a set of examination questions, annotated readings and practical exercises.
