In this concise treatment, which will also appeal to the recently qualified engineer in industry, the author has concentrated on presenting the main topics of wire antennas, aperture antennas, linear arrays and antenna measurements. The final chapter examines some selected advanced and specialised topics, chiefly associated with phased arrays. A special feature is the inclusion of a case study of a practical application at the end of each chapter except the introduction.

M. Brewster Smith is Emeritus Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and former Preseident of the American Psychological Association. He lives in Santa Cruz, CA.
