Synopsis
Very Good, 1st Edition 1958. Profuse and charming illustrations by Eileen Soper, including full-page coloured plates, black and white in-text and coloured illustrated endpapers. Very good clean tight sound square, no bookplate, inscription or marks of any kind. In trademark black lettered red cloth with embossed Famous Five illustration and signature to upper, together with original unclipped (7s 6d) pictorial dustwrapper with one crease to very gently chipped spine, gently rubbed to corners with one short close tear to lower leading corner not visible from front, and one short tear to head of upper wrapper, repaired with small strip of tape not intruding or detracting, otherwise very good. A lovely addition for reader and collector alike.
