This is a simply an exquisite picture book. Cave's text is touching and heart-felt, whilst Maland's wonderful illustrations capture the essence of what it is to find -- and keep -- a friend.' -- BfK 20050501 A lyrical text ... Nick Maland's softly drawn creatures, gloriously mismatched in shape and size, nicely suggest that friendship can cross barriers. There is no didacticism in the book, only an understanding of the essence of interdependency. -- Julia Eccleshare, The Guardian 20040501 ...delicately stylish.' -- my BOOKS mag 20040501 PRAISE FOR YOU'VE GOT DRAGONS ALSO BY CAVE / MALAND My favourite picture book of the year - The Glasgow Herald Remarkable - The Sunday Times 20040501 Friends is a book that tugs at your heartstrings from the first page, and explores the importance of finding and keeping a friend. Thepictures are simple in style yet delicately stylish. They beautifully express the up and down emotions of childhood friendship. -- My books Mag Spring 2005 20040501 Heartwarming and moving illustrations of the wonders of friendship. -- Bournemouth Daily Echo 20040501 I would run out of superlatives in trying to do this book justice. Buy it and give yourself a real treat. -- Books for Keeps 20040501
