When fix-it man and would-be novelist Howard Bell swiped the key to the Executive Washroom in a deserted Boston office building, he had no idea that a simple call of nature would become the summons to wild adventure. A turn of the golden key left him marooned on an ever-changing series of alien worlds, each one a bizarre battlefield where teams of unearthly opponents waged endless war at the whim of unseen masters. Hounded by deadly foes and aided by unexpected allies, Howard battled his way across the Fading Worlds, his desperate fight for survival soon transformed into a daring campaign to end the age-old reign of the brutal Keyholders--and unlock the mystery of the golden Key . . .
