About the Author:

Nigel Hamilton was born in 1944 and took an honors degree in history at Cambridge University. His first major biography, The Brothers Mann, was critically acclaimed both in Britain and the United States, as was Monty, his three-volume official biography of the legendary World War II commander Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery, which won the Whit-bread Prize and Templer Medal.
