In his first book the Primate of North and South America's Greek Orthodox Archdiocese shares thoughts and experiences in the areas of inner spiritual development (via prayer, biblical meditation, spiritual direction, etc.) and outer growth (toward manifestations of Christian unity in such activities as dialogue and family living). The author is clearly committed to social justice (he was active in the civil rights struggle) but downplays politics to stress the search for spiritual perfection, childlike simplicity, and trust in Jesus as Savior. Disarming in its clarity, this plumbs real spiritual depths. EC
