Synopsis
This book is a primer on discrete event modelling in DEMOS (an extension to the general purpose programming language SIMULA). DEMOS is intended to help beginners in SIMULA off the ground. It augments SIMULA with a few building blocks that provide a standardised approach to a wide range of problems. Written in terms of these concepts, DEMOS programs are SIMULA programs that conform to a very simple format, and thus they can be written and understood without a specialized knowledge of SIMULA.
