Hardcover. First Edition, First Printing. Octavo, 215 pages. In Very Good condition with a Very Good mylar covering. Black spine with yellow and aquamarine lettering. Dust jacket is wrapped in a mylar covering, price is uncut "$8.95", has mild shelving wear, and moderate age-toning along the extremities. Boards have mild wear along the head and tail edges and stains along the quarter-bound cloth. Textblock has light soiling on some pages, stains on the end-pages and pastedowns, mild wear along the edges, light foxing along the edges, and mild age-toning along the edges. An outstanding copy of this early novel by the award winning and critically acclaimed author of "The Smuggler's Bible" and "Women and Men", among others; this book is scarce in near fine or better condition, in the first edition/first printing, and particularly signed by McElroy. This copy is in near fine condition with only light shelf wear to the ends and edges, and a slight fading to the top exterior text block stain, else fine. Housed in a near fine dust jacket that is clean and crisp with only light age-toning to the flaps and back panel, some very mild rubbing to the spine head and edges, a light crease running along the top of the front panel, and one short closed tear to the top corner of the back panel.
