Synopsis
Plodémet est le pseudonyme transparent de Plozévet, ce village du sud-Finistère sur lequel la D.G.R.S.T. a conduit dans les années 60 une grande enquête réunissant toutes les sciences sociales.
Dès 1967, Edgar Morin avait publié son Commune en France ou la métamorphose de Plodémet a été l'un des premiers livres qui analysait, à travers ce microcosme breton, la Révolution française de l'après-guerre; la fin des paysans, la révolte des jeunes, l'émancipation des femmes, l'entrée du village dans la civilisation planétaire.
Né en 1921, Edgar Morin, après avoir participé activement à la Résistance, collabora à plusieurs publications communistes. Depuis 1951 il poursuit, au Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, des études de sciences humaines. Qu'il s'agisse de la politique (Autocritique) , de la culture (L'Esprit du temps) ou du cinéma (Le Cinéma ou l'homme imaginaire, Les Stars) Edgar Morin à toujours refusé de se laisser enfermer dans les limites d'une discipline et a réussi à unir les démarches de l'historien, de l'ethnographe et du sociologue pour saisir une société en pleine mutation.
