First (1st) Printing as no printings are listed. As New in Fine- Dust Jacket. The Text Block is clean, bright white, tight, straight and square with raspberry topstain, and no marks of any kind. The Binding is light brown quarter cloth to tan boards (all colors consistent throughout) with author's name embossed in bright silver on front board, bright silver title, etc., to spine, and all corners square and sharp. The pictorial Dust Jacket is bright and would be flawless but for a small nick at the top front of spine and a red pen mark through the original price ($12.95) on the front flap. See photos. 160 + ii pages. 5 1/8" x 7 5/8". Originally published in Spain as Un tal Lucas in 1979, it was translated into English by Gregory Rabassa. This work is a humorous episodic life story of Lucas, an alter ego of the author. Cortazar is best known in the English speaking world for his short story that was made into the 1966 film Blowup.
