The third in a series Incognito Mosquito, Private Insective (1982) and Incognito Mosquito Flies Again (1985, both Random)these mysteries are well done, and the heavy dose of insect puns adds a level of sophistication not available in the the "Encyclopedia Brown" series by Sobol or Simon's "Einstein Anderson" (Viking) books. Although older readers may be put off by the cartoon-like illustrations, these books are most useful for sophisticated intermediate or slow junior high readers.
