Synopsis
This is an analysis of Latin syntax from the point of view of modern linguistic theory. Thus the contributions of traditional descriptions are combined with the insights of recent descriptive and theoretical studies. Some aspects of the theory of Functional Grammar are adopted, and so semantic and pragmatic aspects of Latin also receive attention.
