Synopsis
The fourth edition of this comprehensive textbook combines and develops concurrently both classical and matrix based methods of structural analysis. The book, already renowned for its clarity and thoroughness, has been made even more transparent and complete. The book opens with a new chapter on the analysis of statically determinate structures, intended to provide a better preparation of students. A major new chapter on non-linear analysis has been added. Throughout the fourth edition more attention is given to the analysis of three-dimensional spatial structures.
