Former Secret Service agent Gerald Petievich (Money Men) describes the daily grind of protecting the President with meticulous care in The Sentinel. Unfortunately, his plot isn't quite as credible. Special Agent Pete Garrison suspects that the neo-Nazi Aryan Disciples have positioned one of their own in the White House, but his investigation is cut short by a blackmailer who knows of his affair with the First Lady and tries to frame him for murder. Though he is officially relieved of his duties, Garrison doesn't stop trying to prove his innocence and save the president's life. Relying on heavy dialogue, Petievich glosses over many details in an effort to keep the action hopping. Although the book's one plot thread is compelling, the story would have benefited from greater dimension.

SUMMARY - A White House Secret Service Agent specializing in electronic surveillance has been blown away by a masked gunman. The Aryan Clan, a Neo-Nazi group, has taken credit. Secret Service Special Agent Pete Garrison fears it's more than a warning shot delivered by extremists. His first lead is an informant who claims that the Aryans have positioned one of their own in the White House staff. But it's the second lead that carries the most shattering and personal implications--a blackmailer who knows of Garrison's affair with the First Lady. He has the photos to prove it. Evidence that would frame Garrison with the perfect motive for murder. Garrison's last desperate option: Infiltrate the President's most powerful and intimate circles of defense.and outguess a killer's next move. Seller Inventory # 052218007
