Synopsis
The art of making macrame (a French word meaning knotted lace) is an ancient way of tying notes in string to create lacy-patterned decorative and useful articles. This gratifying, easily learned technique has become almost a lost art, says author Virginia Harvey, the well-known weaver and designer.
