Jackman, a business consultant, advocates the "star team" as a primary organizational vehicle of the 1990s--a concept that has antecedents in the military and organized sports and that is especially adaptable to the communication styles of women. Organizing a great deal of unwieldly information cogently and succinctly and using scores of interviews with successful women, Jackman defines and characterizes "star teams" and also specifies what it takes to become a "key player." Her tables and prepared exercises nicely emphasize her points. Her concepts coupled with her can-do attitude will certainly inspire women seeking to thrive in a corporate structure. Highly recommended for all career/business collections. This is the first of a series of business books for women sponsored by the National Association for Female Executives.--Ed.
