A beach house at a French resort is destroyed by a suspicious fire. In it are two young women - one rich, the other poor. Only one of them survives, burned beyond recognition and in a state of total amnesia. Plastic surgery gives her a lovely new face, but it cannot restore her identity or her memory of the crime. Who is she? The heiress or her friend? A killer or an intended victim?
