In recent years, there have been dramatic changes in the dressing materials available for the management of wounds. In particular, major advances have been made in the application of polymeric materials which 'create' a healing environment by controlling humidity, temperature and gaseous concentrations as well as protecting the wound from infection and secondary trauma. This major conference was held to bring together the manufacturers/initiators and prescribers/users of many of the important wound management products currently available.
