Daniel L. Timmons is Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences at Alamance Community College. Catherine W. Johnson is Department Head of Mathematics at Alamance Community College. Sonya M. McCook is Instructor of Mathematics at Alamance Community College. All three of the authors taught high school in North Carolina extensively before moving to the community college system.
