Review:
"This book has the best explanation of important content, and the historical and global approach fosters a solid context and relevance of the material."-- Cherry Rain, Redlands Community College

"The text provides an informative account of American political institutions and behavior and it successfully situates that discussion within a solid historical framework and global perspective."-- Gary Malecha, University of Portland

"The latest edition as expected contains current material that the students can readily identify with. The strength is the depth of resources used. The authors did an excellent job of building on the foundation that was laid in the previous edition. I was impressed with the author's use of foundational cases and showing the changes that the political institutions used to reflect the changing political landscape. There are no weaknesses in my view."-- Randy Lightfoot, St. Petersburg College

"I appreciate the way it is organized, I truly like the three perspectives of which the material is presented and the writing is simply very good and accessible for the students."--Terri Jett, Butler University

"The text is very well organized with a clear, and refreshing, focus."-- Timothy Hoye, Texas Women's University
