Chapters begin with pre-inventory sections that allow students to compare their views of therapy to the theory. The history of the theory is presented in outline format so students can summarize the most important influences on the theory or theorist. Significant terms are defined. The focus on the manual is on assessment, goals and techniques. Each chapter concludes with a 25-item quiz about the theory.
