Review:
"The most current and accurate book on Texas politics that I have used...Superb job of outlining the principles and theories upon which state government is built as well as practical applications and misapplications through material drawn from actual events...Shows how our institutions are supposed to work and how they really work"

"I have found the writing style to be one of the strongest features of the text."

"I can not really begin to explain all of the strengths of this textbook. I believe that this is the premier textbook."

'The text uses stories to explain concepts that otherwise may not be understood by students...I will adopt the book. It is one of the BEST books I have seen on Texas politics."
