"The material covered is essential and it is great to have it in the text, the cases are perfect, (they) capture the text and bring it alive, and the overview of traditional leadership studies is very complete for an intro text and as such is a great resource for students." "The text does not take a traditional flow but this works well and allows for more depth in terms of discussion, especially by having intergovernmental issues and ethics early in the text ... the Technology chapter is very unique and makes for a much more comprehensive text."
"(The text) is unique, has good practical information and the exercises will make them think."
"Starling does a fine job of discussing IGR in a succinct way ... The author has the ability to present complex topics in a clear and understandable way, the writing style is interesting, and there is an emphasis on planning and discussion of technological applications."
