In the context of impending nationwide railroad and airline strikes, his service includes appointments by Presidents Reagan, George Bush, Clinton, and George W. Bush to eight Presidential Emergency Boards, whose recommendations served as the basis for the resolution of these labor disputes. Professor Twomey is a member of the National Academy of Arbitrators. He is also a member of the Massachusetts, Florida, and federal Bars.Review:
"It is difficult to suggest any improvements since Anderson Fox Twomey and Jennings have done a better job with this topic [Revised Article 3] than the authors of the business law text I presently use." Bob Vicars, Bluefield State University
"I have to say that this is the best 'business ethics' chapter that I have encountered . . . A student can relate to this chapter." Philip Evans, Kutztown University of Pennsylvania
"This expanded coverage [franchises] is excellent because it is more detailed. Students relate well to this topic. So many of them have worked for a franchise. This discussion of franchising also reinforced previously learned topics -- contract law, employment law, and tort law." Francis Polk, Ocean County College
