Synopsis
Marcel Proust (1871-1922) est un écrivain français, dont l'œuvre principale est une suite romanesque intitulée « À la recherche du temps perdu », publiée de 1913 à 1927. "À la recherche du temps perdu" est une sorte de théâtre social où se mêlent une réflexion majeure sur le temps et sur la mémoire affective, mais aussi sur l’amour et la jalousie mêlés à un sentiment d’échec et de vide. Marcel Proust est l'un des premiers grands romanciers européens à traiter le thème de l'homosexualité dans ses œuvres. « A la recherche du temps perdu» constitue une vaste comédie humaine de plus de deux cents acteurs. Proust, à la fois fasciné et ironique, y peint avec une plume acide le tableau de son époque en s'inspirant très souvent de personnages réels, de lieux révélateurs comme l’opposition des milieux aristocratiques et bourgeois. L'écriture de Proust se caractérise par de longues phrases qui suivent la spirale de la création et cherchent sans cesse à atteindre une réalité qui semble s'échapper. « A la recherche du temps perdu » se compose de 7 tomes : - Tome 1 : Du côté de chez Swann en 2 volumes publié en 1913. - Tome 2 : A l’ombre des jeunes filles en fleurs en 3 vol., 1919. - Tome 3 : Le côté de Guermantes en 3 volumes, 1921-1922. - Tome 4 : Sodome et Gomorrhe en 2 volumes, 1922-1923. - Tome 5 : La Prisonnière en 2 volumes, posthume 1923. - Tome 6 : Albertine disparue (La Fugitive), posthume 1925. - Tome 7 : Le temps retrouvé en 2 volumes, posthume 1927.
